Haselow, Violet D. (14 Augl 1907 - 31 OCT 2004)

Violet D. Haselow, 97, Medford, formerly of Loyal, died Sunday, Oct. 31, 2004, at Light House Elder Care CBRF, Medford, where she had resided since 1995. Following a 10 a.m. visitation, funeral services will be held Thursday, Nov.4, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal. Burial will be in the Loyal Lutheran Cemetery. Pall bearers will be Steve Haselow, Dave Haselow, Jerry Knoll, Doug Gilbertson, Tony White and Robbie Leabo.

Violet Dimple Gretzner was born Augl 14, 1907, in the town of Beaver, to Adolph and Alvina [nee Luther] Gretzner. She attended school in the Loyal area. She married Albert Haselow on June 10, 1936, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal. They farmed on the Haselow family farm until retiring in 1963. They moved to Loyal and she worked at the Loyal High School in the lunch room, at the café on Main Street and for the Clyde Grambsch family. Her husband died June 30, 1983. She lived in Loyal until the fall of 1994, when she moved to Medford to be near her daughter. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and their Ladies Aid and a past member of the Spokeville Home makers and a former 4-H leader. Her interests included flowers and gardening, sewing, playing cards, and visiting the elderly and homebound.

Survivors include her children, Carol [Gene] Querin, Medford, Gordon [Marlene] Haselow, Loyal, Marliss [John] Paradies, Holcombe, and Veryl [Cliff] Sackett, Fergus Falls, Minn.; six grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 16 step great-grandchildren; and one sister Eva Wolfe, Marshfield.
