Block, Ione (9 June 1921 - 13 Nov. 2004)

STETSONVILLE - Ione Block, 83, Stetsonville, died Saturday, Nov. 13, 2004, at her home.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Maurina Funeral Home, Abbotsford. Burial will be in Dorchester Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Maurina Funeral Home, Abbotsford, and from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services.

Ione was born June 9, 1921, in the town of Holton, rural Dorchester, to Leonard and Olga (Papesch) Paff. Ione and Clarence Block were married April 26, 1941. They farmed in the town of Holton and moved to Dorchester in 1982. She drove a school bus for the handicapped. In 1997, she moved to Stetsonville. She enjoyed her flower gardens and parakeets.

Ione is survived by her children, Leonard (Carol) Block, Abbotsford, Russell (Barb) Block, Mosinee, Neal (Pat) Block, Dorchester, Larry Block, Edgar, Warren (Vera) Block, Stetsonville, Dale (Jan) Block, Unity, David (Ellie) Block, Dorchester, Ricky (Karen) Block, Medford, Jerry (Debbie) Block, Medford, Nancy (Lee) Noland, Medford, Kathleen (Jerry) Tischendorf, Dorchester, Darlene Barton, Stetsonville, Sandra Drager, Stetsonville, Teri (Mark) Barnett, Eagle River, and Judy (Jeff) Woller, Merrill; 43 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and one sister, Loretta (Karl) Gentz, Mayville.
