Davey, Bertha (21 May 1873 - 12 Dec. 1931)

Mrs. Azor Davey died at her home on East Sixth Street, Saturday afternoon, Dec. 12, after several month’s illness. Mrs. Davey, whose maiden name was Bertha Nelson, was born at Dromond, Norway, May 21, 1873. She came to this country about 40 years ago. Mr. And Mrs. Davey lived at Greenwood for a number of years. Some months ago when Mr. Davey secured the Neillsville, Greenwood, Spencer mail route they moved to Neillsville.

She is survived by her husband and five children: Carl, who drive the mail service; Bernice, Mrs. Earl Rohde of Loyal; Gertrude, Mrs. Walter Needham of Stanley; Allen in the U. S. Navy, John, also in the Navy but now at home.

The funeral will be held Friday afternoon brief services at Schiller’s Funeral Home at 1:15 and at the Norwegian Lutheran church in Greenwood at 2 o’clock, Rev. Aaberg officiating.
