Mix, Ralph (? - 24 MAR 1963)

Neillsville, Clark County, Wis. - Ralph Mix, route 3, Neillsville, died Sunday of a shotgun gunshot wound in the head, apparently self-inflicted, according to Clark County authorities.

The body was found slumped against a tree in a woods on the Mix farm in the town of Levis, Clark County. It was discovered about 2 p.m. by a neighbor during a search which began after Mix failed to show up at his home for the noon meal.

The man had left the house about 9 a.m., and said he was going to wash milking equipment.

Members of the family could give no reason why Mix should want to end his life.

The body is at the Bergemann Funeral Home but arrangements for services are incomplete.

Mix is survived by his wife and two sons.
