Funeral services for a Clark County native, Mrs. Alvina Anna Gault, 73, of Neillsville, were held Friday afternoon from the Georgas Funeral Home. The Rev. Gary Clark of the United Church of Christ officiated and burial was made in the Neillsville cemetery. Mrs. Gault, who had been in failing health for the last two years, died here October 25, just five days after the death of her brother, Albert Schoengarth.

Alvina Gault, the daughter of Fred J. and Anna Klopf Schoengarth, was born March 24, 1899, in Clark County, and received her early education at the Happy Hollow rural school. Her marriage to Jason F. Gault took place November 16, 1921 in Neillsville. The couple farmed in the county for many years. After her husband’s death in 1946, she moved to Neillsville, where she worked in restaurants and cooked for the Kiwanis club for many years. She also worked at Barr’s mink ranch. Mrs. Gault was a member of the Royal Neighbors of America.

Survivors include four children, Robert Gault of Singapore, Wilfred (William) Gault of Gary, Indiana, Franklin Gault of Neillsville, and Gene Gault of DeBary, Florida; and 11 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Elroy Johnson, William Roehl, Frank Zickert, William Seelow, Leon Metcalf, and Alfred Dux.

"The Old Rugged Cross" and "Nearer my God to Thee" were sung by Miss Marilyn Galstead. Miss Galstead accompanied herself.

Winkler and Mrs. Edward Prueter, Kiel; Mr. and Mrs. Howard Kuhfuss, and Mrs. Elsie Wifler, Princeton.

Ruth Ingersoll and Mrs. Jerry Gerity of Sullivan; Mr. and Mrs. Ross Downer, Mrs. Duane Anding, and Mrs. Arnold Opelt, Granton; Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Olson, Humbird; Mrs. Ross Lindow, Chili; Frank Schoengarth, Mrs. E. Ryerson, Mr. and Mrs. Merlon Schoengarth and family, and Clifton G.
