Campbell, Susanah (17 Mar 1844 - 7 Sep 1911)

Miss Susanah Sankey was born in Coshocton Co., Ohio, March 17, 1844, moved with her parents to Bramer Co., Iowa, in the year 1858, and was united in marriage to Mr. Charles Campbell at West Union, Iowa, Sept. 15, 1865, and settled in Black Hawk Co., Iowa. They remained there until the spring of 1902, when they moved onto the farm near Humbird, Clark County, Wis., where she died Sept. 7, 1911, at 7:00 p.m. To them were born eight children, three of who died in infancy, also Mrs. Will Barr who died July 26, 1909. She leaves to mourn her death a husband and four children: Mrs. Alice Hardwick and James Campbell who live near Humbird, Mrs. Ellen Goeller of Fairbank, Iowa; besides a large number of friends and relatives.

Mrs. Campbell was a member of the Presbyterian church, expressing the faith in her early womanhood. She was a devoted wife and mother and a place has been made vacant in her home that can never be filled. The funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the M. E. Church, Rev. A. A. Marcy preaching the sermon, and the remains laid at rest in the Mentor Cemetery to await the final resurrection.
