Newton, Mayme (21 AUG 1912)

On Wednesday afternoon occurred a happy double wedding at the home of Mrs. Charles Ringrose in Alma Center, when her sisters, Miss Mayme and Ethel Newton were united for life's journey with Mr. Mona K. Ohnstad of Sharon, N. D., and Mr. Herman C. Fenske of Tomah. Rev. G. B. Haskell of Tomah, was the officiating clergyman.

The brides were gowned alike in exquisite dresses of white chiffon over silk and carried bouquets of white and red. Following soon after the ceremony the wedding dinner was served, which was heartily partaken of by the bridal party and the wedding guests.

Wedding gifts both varied and beautiful were received by the brides, one being a costly silver service to each from their uncle.

One of the pleasant incidents in connection with this wedding was the presence of another sister of the brides, herself being a bride of but a few weeks, and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. George H. Kruekeberg of Williston, N.D. The wedding also was a family reunion, all the members of the family of John Newton being present.
