Herman Laabs, a pioneer resident of Clark County committed suicide early last Monday morning by shooting himself in the temple with a 22 caliber revolver at the home of his son, Fred in the village of Curtiss, Clark County, Wis.

Deceased was 75 years of age and lived in that locality for 44 years, 32 years of which he spent on his farm 2 1/2 miles south of Curtiss and the past 12 years he lived with his children.

He leaves to mourn his death six sons, Fred, Emil, Albert and Ferdinand of Curtiss, Will of Tony and Arthur of Pesthigo.

The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon from the Lutheran Church, Rev. Behrendt officiating.
