Eva A. LeZotte, age 98, of Marshfield, died at the Marshfield Center on Saturday, July 3, where she had been a resident since 1993.

Eva Amanda LeZotte was born on Jan. 16, 1906, in Merrillan, the daughter of Fred and Myrtle (Green) Habrel. She received her education at Dale's Dam School. On Oct. 15, 1925, Eva and Glenn Joseph LeZotte were united in marriage in Winona, Minn. The young couple resided in Neillsville until moving to Loyal in the late 70's. Eva moved to the Marshfield Center in 1993 where she resided until her death. Eva and Glenn shared 78 years of marriage. She was a great cook and amazing housekeeper and liked to crochet in her spare time. She greatly enjoyed helping out others and found her work as a nurses aide at the Neillsville Memorial Home to be very rewarding.

Eva will be sadly missed by her husband, Glenn Sr., of Marshfield; her son, Glenn Jr. (Shirley) LeZotte of Stoughton; her daughter Lorraine (Harry) Francis, of Marshfield; seven grandchildren, and sixteen great-grandchildren.

Eva was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, LaVerne and Frederick; and one sister Gladys.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 6, with Reverend Paul Nelson officiating. Burial was in the Neillsville Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Eva's grandsons; Bruce LaZotte, Paul LaZotte, Todd Slaby, Jason Slaby; Kirby Fredericks, and Brad Schumacher.

Cuddie Funeral Home of Loyal assisted the family with arrangements.
