Lippencott, Lizzie (? - 8 Feb 1926)

Mr. John Schafer received a message that his sister, Mrs. Ben Lippencott, had died at Chicago, Monday, Feb. 8th, at 1 p.m.

Mrs. Lippencott will be remembered by the older settlers as Miss Lizzie Schafer, next to the youngest of the Schafer girls. She was born at Dale, this state, and came here (Dorchester, Clark County, Wis.) with her parents when but a little girl. She was united in marriage to Mr. Lippencott and they left here about 35 years ago, going to Tampa, Fla. As they didn't like it, they returned to Chicago a year later. When her mother died a few years later they came back to Dorchester and Mr. Lippencott assisted Mr. Peter Schafer, her father, in caring for the post office as he was postmaster at that time.

They lived her only a short time then went back to Chicago where they have since resided. Mr. Lippencott died last March or less than a year ago.

There are two children, Miss Betty and Mr. Ben, who suffer the bereavement of both parents in less than a year's time.

We wish to extend to these bereaved young people and to Mr. and Mrs. John Schafer, the sympathy of all the old friends who knew the departed.
