Engel, Anna (27 OCT 1924)

Last Monday morning, Oct. 27, 1924, at 10 o'clock Miss Anna Engel and Elroy Gutenberger of Colby were united in marriage at the St. Louis Church here (Dorchester, Clark County, Wis.), Rev. Father Pitzenberger officiating. Margaret Engel, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid and Micky Engel, brother of the bride, acted as best man, while little Miss Melda Kuttle of Milan, acted as the flower girl. After the ceremony the party departed tot he home of the bride's parents where a wedding breakfast was served. In the evening a reception was held at the Hollywood Hall to their many friends and relatives.

The bride was beautifully gowned in white silk georgette crepe embroidered with brilliants, silver girdle with wreath to match and carried a shower bouquet of American beauty roses. The bridesmaid wore a gown of pink silk crepe de chine with silver girdle and head band to match.

The groom wore a brown suit with an American beauty rose as boutonniere and the best man wore a blue suit and also had a boutonniere.

The bride needs no introduction to Dorchester people, at least, for she is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. Engel and is well known and well liked here. The groom is a stranger to most of us but the fact that he chose such a fine life mate speaks well for his good senses and the Clarion joins their many friends in wishing them abundant success and happiness in the years before them.
