Leon A Hermeling of Wood River, Illinois, age 82, passed away at 9:10 a.m. on Wed. March 18, 1998, at Wood River Township Hospital. He was born Dec. 8, 1915, at Nashville, Illinois, son of the late William and Lena (Klamm) Hermeling.

Leon was an electrician at Clark Oil Refinery for 41 years, retiring in 1982. He married the former Agnes Mohr, June 16, 1965 in St. Paul, Minn. (Agnes was originally from Clark Co. WI.) She survives him. Also surviving is a sister, Florence Obernuefemann of Caseyville, Illinois.

Funeral services were held at the Gray Funeral Home of Wood River, Illinois with Rev. Jonathon Stein officiating. Graveside committal services were at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Nashville, Illinois, with Rev. Jeff Schrank officiating.

Memorials may be made to the Chapel of the Cross Lutheran Church in north St. Louis County.
