Krueger, Adeline L. (18 Sept. 1912 - 13 Feb. 2005)

Adeline L. Krueger, 92, formerly of Marshfield, died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2005, at the Colonial Center in Colby with her family by her side.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 16, at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Marshfield. The Rev. Mark Krueger will officiate. Mary Castner will provide music with Adeline's great-granddaughters, Kaela and Ashley Wickersham and Ryanna Borgemoen, serving as soloists.

Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Adeline's nephews, Keith Weller, Allen, Lyle and Dennis Krueger, Warren Schauer and Rick Dins.

Friends May call from 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the church.

Hansen Funeral Home of Marshfield is assisting the family with arrangements.

Mrs. Krueger was born Sept. 18, 1912, in Colby, a daughter of the late Otto and Louise (Schuman) Dins. She attended the Colby Township School.

On Aug. 29, 1934, Adeline was united in holy marriage to Laurence Krueger at the Zion Lutheran Church in Colby. He preceded her in death on May 11, 1990. Adeline and Laurence owned and operated the Oakland Cheese Factory in Green Grove from 1935 to 1946. The family moved to Marshfield and Adeline worked for Dick Halle and Alicea's Gift Shop as well as Wickersham Jewelry, along with raising their children.

Mrs. Krueger was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, serving on numerous committees as well as being a member and officer of the Ladies Aid organization for many years. Beside her family and her faith, Adeline's passions were sewing, cooking, traveling and playing cards.

She is lovingly survived by two children, Audrey (Glen) Wickersham, Colby, and Gerald Krueger, Green Bay; two sisters, Bertha Schauer, Spencer, and Dorothy Dins, Colby; two brothers, Fredrick Dins, Colby, and Rudy (Dina) Dins, Edgar. Adeline is further survived by three grandchildren, Robert Wickersham, Colby, Debby (Victor) Borgemoen, Colby, Jeff (Tammy) Wickersham, Wausau; six great-grandchildren, Kyle, Kaela, Ashley and Brandon Wickersham, and Ryan and Ryanna Borgeman; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Her husband; one son, Eli; one grandchild, Gary Wickersham; and one brother, Otto, preceded Mrs. Krueger in death.

Memorials May be designated to Christ Lutheran Church.
