Edna was born Nov. 19, 1925, in Chili, a daughter of the late Irving and Anne (Riihimaki) Davis. She graduated from Marshfield High School.

The former Edna Davis was united in holy marriage to Norbert Young on Aug. 28, 1948, at the Immanuel Evangelical United Brethren Church. She personally put her faith in Christ to save her from sin while attending a revival meeting at the church. We rejoice that today she is with her Savior. Edna and Norbert operated a dairy farm in Auburndale. Their son, Charles, continues to run the family farm.

Mrs. Young was a member of the Community Bible Church in Stratford. She also belonged to the Ladies Aid, served as church librarian and was the church treasurer for 36 years. In addition, Edna enjoyed being a part of the neighborhood Friendship Club.

Beside her church participation, Edna cherished spending time with her family. Other interests included working crossword and jigsaw puzzles, reading and sewing.

Edna is lovingly survived by her husband, Norbert Young, Auburndale; children, Thomas (Sue) Young, Mosinee, Shirley (Craig) Preston, Taichung, Taiwan, Esther (Larry) Borchardt, Mosinee, Robert (Joyce) Young, Ottumwa, Iowa, Charles (Lynda) Young, Auburndale, Arthur (Laurie) Young, Auburndale, Ruth (Brian) Krause, Grand Junction, Colo., and Susie (Chris Spindler) Young, Stratford. Twenty-seven grandchildren and a brother, Walter (Vivian) Davis, Highland, further survive Edna.

Mrs. Young was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth (Kier) Cattanach, and a brother, Norman Davis. Memorials in Edna's name May be designated to the Community Bible Church's mission fund.
