Mr and Mrs. F. B. Wing and son Ben of Abbotsford, Wisconsin spent Christmas at the h9ome of Mrs. Wing's mother, Mrs. Mary Mac Millan.

Miss Linda Allen of Minneapolis came to spend Christmas with her brother L. A. Allen and family, returning Wednesday.

Miss Luella Berret is taking a few days vacation from her work as secretary in the County Superintendent's office.

Mrs. Margaret Walters, County Superintendent, has been sick for a few days with a cold, but is reported better.

Earl Br?hn has been on the sick list the past week.

Ray Munger had a siege of flu, but is reported better.

Robert Schiller and Chas. Bradford who attend St. Thomas College in St. Paul, came home for Christmas vacation.

Gilbert Olson who works in Milwaukee came home for Christmas.

Virginia Darling who is employed in Milwaukee came to spend Christmas with her mother, Mrs. Ellen Darling.

Miss Florence Eberhardt who attends the Milwaukee, Wis. State Teachers College is home for the holiday vacation.

Jacob Schmidt, who lives south of the fair grounds fractured the bones in one foot Friday when he fell from the roof of his porch. He was brought to Neillsville for medical attention.

Miss Barbara Olson, who is assistant librarian in South Milwaukee, was home for Christmas.

Mrs. Ellen Johnson, who teaches at St. Croix Falls, is spending the holiday vacation at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Oluf Olson.

Mr and Mrs. Allen Covell spent Christmas at the home of Mrs. Covell's parents, Mr. and Mrs. V. C. Woelfer.

George Walters come home from Ellsworth for Christmas.

Mr and Mrs. Clarence Hamilton and son Harry came from Oshkosh to spend Christmas at the home of Mr. and Mrs. D. O. Chapman.

Frank Schmidt of the town of Levis takes the place of Calvin Mills as manager of the Neillsville Shipping Association. The change is effective Jan. 2, when Mr. Mills assumes his duties as county clerk. Mr. Schmidt has been an assistant in the work for some time.

Al Jensen drove to Merrillan Saturday with his sister, Mrs. Van Hauter, and her granddaughter, who will spend the holidays at Racine.

Ole Lowe left Saturday morning for Milwaukee to spend Christmas.

Mr and Mrs. A. O. Smith of Chicago, are spend the holidays with Dr. and Mrs. W. A. Larson and other relatives.

The infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Quesnell is slowly recovering from an attack of pneumonia.

Mrs. R. B. Washburn of Augusta is suffering from pneumonia, according to word received by her sister, Mrs. George Zimmerman.

W. E. Roberts is confined to his home with severe cold.

Miss Jean Sontag who teaches at New Lisbon, came home to spend Christmas. She went to Minneapolis......missing content.

Henry North came up from Chicago to spend Christmas and a few days following with the home folks.

Mr and rms. Harry Eide had a family reunion Christmas day and had a most enjoyable gathering.

Although it rained nearly all day, the children turned out in force to meet Santa Clause and get their sacks of candy Saturday at the First National Bank.

Rev. Wm. A. Baumann and family spent Monday afternoon and evening at the home of Rev. and Mrs. A. Laesch of Granton. In the forenoon Rev. Baumann delivered the sermon at the Mapleworks church for the second Christmas Day Service.

Mrs. E. Sievert, teacher of St. John's school, left for his Christmas vacation on Christmas day, spending the time with his parents at Owasso, Michigan.

Mr and Mrs. Paul Blum and daughter Louise visited at Rev. and Mrs. Wm. A. Baumann's Christmas night.

Rev. H. Scholler and son Roland of Medford and Rev. S. Schwarz of West Salem visited at the home of Rev. and Mrs. Baumann Tuesday afternoon.

Ed. Hauge came home Friday from the Veteran's Hospital in Milwaukee and is much improved in health.

Mr and Mrs. C. Krumrey are both confined to the house with flu.

Mrs. Mary Henzie, who was visiting her daughter at Stevens Point, is home again.

Mr and Mrs. Robert Quinnell spent Christmas at New Richmond at the home of Mrs. Quinnell's mother.

Miss Irene Varney spent Christmas at her home in Greenwood.

Mrs. H. L. Snyder is suffering with an attack of the shingles.

Some logs are being delivered at the depot to be shipped to Jackson County Box Co. at Black River Falls.

Miss Dorothy Lynch, who teaches at Barron is home for the holidays.

Mr and Mrs. Leroy Landgraff spent Christmas with relatives at Granton.

Rev. Paul White has been confined to the house the past few days with the grippe.

Jesse Collins, aged 17, son of Mr. anf Mrs. H. Collins, of the town of Hewett was operated by Dr. M. C. Rosekrans Tuesday for removal of the tonsils.

Mr and Mrs. Herbert Garbisch of Iron Mountain, Mich., Walter Garbisch, a student at Stevens Point, Wisconsin Teachers' College, and their mother, Mrs. Garbisch, were Christmas guests at the home of Mrs. Susie Thoma.

Among those who attended the funeral of Fred Moser at Humbird last week were Mrs. Rosa Kueng and Albert Sollberger.

Mrs. Dale Spry of Granton who teaches in the state graded school at Willard had an operation Tuesday for the removal of her tonsils by Dr. M. C. Rosekrans.

Mr and Mrs. George Hubing are both reported sick with flu.

Joe Benjamin went to Antigo Wednesday to attend the funeral of his brother-in-law.

Fred Hohenstein of Neillsille, and Adolph Schwartz of Greenwood drove to Beloit Saturday accompanied by Mrs. Olga Burnette and her sister, Mrs. Anna Belter, spending Christmas with friends and relatives.
