Cora Ann "Corki' Bullock, 64, Madison, died Monday, Jan, 31, 2005, at the Don and Marilyn Anderson Hospice Care Center, surrounded by her loving family. She had battled cancer for 25 years. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 3, at Good Shephard Lutheran Church, Madison. The Rev. Brent Campbell officiated. Inurnment will be at St. Matthew's Cemetery, Wilton, at a later date.

Cora Ann Schendel was born Sept. 6, 1940, in Greenwood, to Herbert and Erna [nee Vangsnes] Schendel. She grew up on the family farm near Greenwood and graduated from Eaton Center Grammar School and Greenwood High School. She was active in numerous school activities and was the drum major for the marching band. After living in Phoenix, Ariz., and Madison, she moved more permanently to California, where she was employed in advertising. She married Robert J. Bullock in Kaupul ehu, Hawaii. They resided in Wildomar, Calif., where she enjoyed working with learning disabled children. She was always there to help the less fortunate. After her husband's death in 1990, she moved back to Madison to be near her family. She was employed at American Health and Safety and was able to work through Jan. 21, 2005. She was a loving and generous person not only with her family but everyone she met. She was an avid animal lover, she loved cooking and baking and found great pleasure in gardening. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her parents; two sisters, Judy [Darrell] Barth, and Linda [Steve] Short; two brothers, Jon Schendel and Jim [Mary] Schendel; 11 nieces and nephews; one great niece; and five great-nephews. She dearly loved the little ones.

Preceding her in death were her grandparents; four uncles, Clark Vangsnes, Leo Schendel, Henry Schendel, and Edwin Schendel; and three aunts, Betty Vangsnes, Irene Schendel, and Florence Schendel.

Memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 5701 Raymond Road, Madison, WI 53711, or the Don and Marilyn Anderson Hospice Care Center, 5395 E. Cherry Drive, Madison, WI 53711.

Joyce-Ryan Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Madison, assisted the family with arrangements.

We will miss you Corki, but know that you are at peace in God's hands.

Don't grieve for me, for now I am Free. I am following the path God laid for me.
