WATER PIEPER INJURED BY BULL
Walter Pieper, farmer living about 5 miles north of Loyal (Section 15, Town of Beaver), was quite seriously injured by an enraged bull last week Wednesday when he tried to put the bull in the barn. Suddenly the animal made an attack goring him against the hard ground and against a fence which Mr. Pieper had made an attempt to crawl through.
As Mrs. Wm. Nelson, mother-in-law of Mr. Pieper, went to the mail box for the mail she heard Mr. Pieper's muffled cries and ran to his aid with a broom while another farm hand aided with a pitch fork.
The victim was then thrown threw the fence and was clinging to the ring is the animal's nose, which then appeared as calm as a lamb.
Mr. Pieper is suffering from fractured ribs, chest injuries, and injured leg, and wire cuts. A truck was called and the animal was shipped without delay. Beaver Correspondent
