THOMAS E HUMPHREY

Thomas E Humphrey, age 48, died on Sunday Dec. 5, 2004, at his home in Greenwood.

Thomas Earl Humphrey was born on July 29, 1958 the son of Gerald and Mildred (Halpen) Humphrey in Marshfield. He attended Granton Schools and graduated from Granton High School in 1974, and then worked for the Loyal Feed Mill.

Tom was united in marriage to Cindy Bixby. They lived for a short time in Arlington, VA where Tom worked as a mechanic. They later divorced. When they moved back to the area he worked for the Van Gordon Feed Mill, a garage in Marshfield and a short time at Marshfield Homes.

Tom tended bar and ran the Dew Drop Inn, the Cellar Bar, the TeePee, and then owned and operated the Side Street Saloon in Neillsville and Humphrey's On Main in Greenwood. His many hobbies included darts, cribbage and Sheephead. He was a member of the tavern league and many pool leagues. He married Judy Bowe on February 14, 1997 in Neillsville.

Surviving Tom is his wife, Judy, of Greenwood; his parents, Jerry and Mildred Humphrey, of Neillsville; daughters, Melissa (Brent) Peterson, of Kansas City, MO; Amanda (Judd) Alton, of New Richmond; a step- daughter, Rhonda Lisiecki, of Greenwood; and a step-son, Eric Bowe, of Chippewa Falls; three grandchildren, Isaac Peterson, Jack and Forrest Alton; and a step-grandson, Raven; six brothers, Steve (Lou Ann), of Marshfield; Arnie (Judy), of Durand; Van (Julie), of Granton; Jerry Jr., of Hixton; Brian (Tammy), of Sparta; Philip (Sharlene), of Keller, TX; two sisters, Connie (Scott) Elmhorst, of Neillsville; and Carole (David) Hohenstein, of Black River Falls; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding Tom in death is a granddaughter, Kylah Humphrey-Lindsley and two nephews, Randy Humphrey and Jacob LeClercq.

A Memorial Service was held for Tom on Wed. December 8, at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville. The Very Rev. Woodrow Pace officiated.

The Gesche Funeral Home assisted Tom's family with the arrangements.
