Vernon Peterson Dies at Age 52

Vernon N. Peterson, 52, 827 S. Jefferson St., died Sunday (Feb. 10, 1957) evening at the home of his mother, Mrs. Susan Parkhill, following a brief illness.

Mr. Peterson was born in Colby and was a marine radio operator until his retirement 10 years ago. He had lived in Green Bay since that time.

Survivors besides his mother include three sisters, Miss Ann Peterson, Green Bay; Mrs. Fred Johnson, Withee, and Mrs. Neil Vater, Owen and one brother, Lee J. Peterson, Milwaukee.

The body was taken this afternoon from the Schauer and Schumacher Funeral Home, Colby, where funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon. Burial will be in Colby Cemetery.
