Schnelle, Verna Heide (19 Jan. 1919 -12 March 2005)

FENWOOD -Verna Heide Schnelle, 86, of Fenwood died Saturday, March 12, 2005, in Manassas, Va.

A graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Colby Cemetery in Colby. The Rev. Mark Krueger will officiate. Memorial contributions May be made to the charity of the contributor's choice.

Local arrangements are under the direction of Sauter/Kundinger Funeral Home in Stratford.

She was born Jan. 19, 1919, in Marshfield, the daughter of Edwin and Jennie Nelson Haltaufderheide. Verna married Vernon Schnelle in 1939 in Wisconsin. He preceded her in death on April 2, 1992.

Mrs. Schnelle was a graduate of McKinley High School in 1937. She worked for Weinberger Shoe Factory and was a seamstress for Johnson Garment prior to retiring to Fenwood. Verna loved to watch "Jeopardy" and work the newspaper crossword puzzles.

Survivors include two daughters, Marla Woolard and her husband, Mack, of Ijamsville, Md., and Janice Hawkins and her husband, Thomas, of Manassas, Va.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Renae Ellen; a brother, Orville Heide; and two sisters, Betty Walker and Lorraine Kluth.

Verna Heide Schnelle, 86, of Fenwood died Saturday, March 12, 2005, in Manassas, Va.
