DIANE DAVIS

Berlin—Diane D. Davis, age 61, of Berlin, died unexpectedly on Jan. 6, 2002, at Berlin Memorial Hospital.

Diane was born Dec. 30, 1940, in Neillsville, the daughter of Clarence and Dorothy (Goerzlitz) Davis. Diane was a graduate of Neillsville High School (1958).

Diane lived in Berlin for the past 35 years. She never married, but dedicated her life to raising and helping children. Diane was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Berlin, and was employed at Fox River Industries in the Community Integration Program as an aide.

Surviving Diane are eight children; Michael (Linda) Davis of Berlin, Frederick Davis, Jamie (Christine) Davis and Sheila Davis, all of Oshkosh, Bridgett Davis of Fond du Lac, Janell, Natasha and Justin Davis, all of Berlin; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Louise (Bryl) Strangfeld of Neillsville and Janice Davis of Rockford, IL; three brothers, Clarence of Albuquerque, NM, Robert of Lake Geneva and Kenneth of New Orleans, LA, and a brother-in-law Edward Strangfeld of Neillsville, and 15 special foster children that she had cared for over the years.

Preceding Diane in death are her parents; one sister Mary Strangfeld; and two brothers, Allen and Richard Davis.

Funeral services were held Jan. 10 at St. John's Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Paul Mundinger officiating. Interment was in Bush Cemetery in the Township of Berlin.
