Lynch, J. W. (2 June 1850 - 14 April 1933)

J. W. Lynch, for many years a resident of Neillsville, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. R. G. Salter, in Colby, April 14.

Mr. Lynch was born June 2, 1850, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was married Dec. 2, 1887 to Mrs. Eunice Hurlburt Stannard. They made their home in Neillsville until nine years ago, when they moved to Colby, where they since resided.

He followed the carpenter trade in and around Neillsville and in Greenwood, building or helping to build many of the residences and business places. He was a fine type of man and was highly esteemed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, who is ill in a hospital in St. Paul, a daughter, Mrs. R. G. Salter, Colby, and a step-son, Daniel Stannard of St. Paul.

Funeral services were held at Colby, burial taking place in Neillsville cemetery, Rev. G. W. Longenecker officiating at the burial ceremonies.
