Elderly Eilert relatives in Ottenhausen (Steinheim area), Germany are waiting for me, a cousin living south of Chicago to find trace of Eilerts last living in Chicago in the era of my German grandparents (1900-1950's..?),one of whom, was descended from Elizabeth Agnes Eilert, daughter of Johan Eilert and Anna Maria Multhaup. The Name VINCENT Eilert and the address of 3727 N. Bell, Chicago,IL yielded a return of my inquiry letter to the above. I wrote in 1998 after a trip to Germany.

Our female ancestor Elizabeth Eilert turns up on on ship list to America, came to Ohio, married a Kleine from same vicinity of Germany, settled in area called, Brunswick, Hannover Twnshp./INDIANA. (named from the German area of origin!). There was a significant German "footprint" in the Brunswick area dating from the founding of a village (church of St. Antonious)called KLASSVILLE (defunct), by a number or immigrant families.

Our grandparents were frequent visitors to the Chicago Eilerts and visa versa.

Any leads or information on Eilert connection would be much appreciated.

Thank you
