Ryoti, Arvo J. (6 Aug. 1915 - 19 Dec. 2003)

Arvo J. Ryoti, age 88, of the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, formerly of McNaughton, died on Friday, December 19, 2003, at Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca. He was born on August 6, 1915, in Owen, Wis., the son of Frederick and Mary (Kursas) Ryoti.

He served in the United States Army and was a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his sister, Mayme Zelm of Withee, Wis.; sister-in-law, Dorothy Telin of Lakeville, Minn.; nieces, Sue Slaby of Waupaca, Barbara Ericksmone of Bluffdale, Minn., Sandy Zhe of Madison, Mary Zelm of Florida, JoAnn Franklin of Carol Stream, Ill.; nephews, Bill Zelm of New Brighton, Minn., Bob Zelm of Madison, Jim Zelm of Chippewa Falls, Lee Telin of Marshfield, and Todd Telin of Lakeville, Minn.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Linda Radie; two brothers, Toivo Ryoti and Eric Telin; and three half-brothers, Charles Telin, John Telin and Imbie Sales.

A graveside service and burial will be held in Pine Hill Cemetery in Curtiss, next spring.

The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca, (715) 258-4020, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
