Kutchera, Edward F. (28 FEB 1886 - 11 JUN 1957)

Neillsville, Clark County, Wis. - Funeral services will be held at the Georgas Funeral Home here Friday at 2 p.m. for Edward F. Kutchera, 71, 111 W. First St., a former Clark County Sheriff and bailiff of circuit court, who died late Tuesday night at St. Joseph’s Hospital at Marshfield.

The Rev. Jacob Grether will officiate at the service and burial will follow in the Neillsville Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home, where the body will lie in state until the time of services.

Mr. Kutchera was born Feb. 28, 1886, at Muscoda and received his education in Grant Co. He moved with his parents to Neillsville and assisted his father in the operation of a livery stable on what is now the site of the Felgros Chevrolet Co.

He operated several businesses in Neillsville, including a grocery, and was sheriff of Clark County from 1921 to 1923, and again from 1925 to 1927. For the past several years he had been bailiff of the Clark County Circuit Court. His marriage to the former Amanda Miller took place at Neillsville in May 1907.

Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Oscar (Mary) Foote, Neillsville; and three brothers, John, Black River Falls; Alfred, Trempealeau; and Otto, Neillsville. He was preceded in death by his wife on Jan. 11, 1954.
