Rejzer, Stephanie M. (22 May 1923 - 19 OCT 2004)

Stephanie M. Rejzer, 81, of Cornell passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2004, at the Cornell area Care Center.

She was born May 22, 1923, to Peter and Josephine (Myslinski) Sromek of Lublin, WI. After growing up on the family farm and attending Gilman Area Schools, she spent time living and working in Chicago, IL. During her time in Chicago, Stephanie assisted the war effort in a Defense Plant as a shell inspector for the Edward Katzinger Co. She married Stanley M. Rejzer June 26, 1948, at St. Thomas Aquinas church in Chicago, Il.

Stephanie and Stanley operated several small businesses in the area such as the Ruby Store, Cornell Surplus Store, Skogmo Department Store, and for thirty years the S&S Shoe Store. She was also a long time member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Cornell.

She is survived by son, Thomas (Laurie) Rejzer of Wayzata, MN; son-in-law Andrew Novakovic of Ithaca, NY; granddaughter Lindsey Novakovic of Hoboken, NJ; grandsons Steven Novakovic of Ithaca, NY, and Michael and Benjamin Rejzer of Wayzata, MN; brothers William of Roselle, IL, and Stanley of Lublin, WI.

Stephanie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, daughter Monica Novakovic, and brothers Frank, Milton, and Edward.

Memorial service will be Saturday, October 23, 2004, at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Cornell. The family will donate all memorials to Ithaca Breast Cancer Alliance of Ithaca NY, and St. Joseph's Hospice Center of Chippewa Falls, WI.
