VIOLA KRAUSE IS BRIDE OF EUGENE WORCHEL AT BERLIN

Miss Viola Krause, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman O. Krause, became the bride at 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon of Eugene Worchel, son of Mr. and Mrs. August Worchel, of Neillsville.

Rev. Martin Strasen, pastor read the marriage service at St. John’s Lutheran church and members of the immediate families and friends were in attendance.

Attendants on the couple were Miss Leta Krause, a sister of the bride, and Miss Hildegard Hoffmann, and the Messrs. Otto Kunkel and Martin Ebert, a cousin of the bride. Little Ardyce Huebner served as flower girl and the Messrs. Martin Rodencal and Reinhold Baehr served as ushers.

The bride was dressed in a white satin gown trimmed with a lace veil and she wore white slippers and hose to match. She carried a bouquet of Ophelia roses, snapdragons and baby breath. Attendants of the bride were dressed in blue and pink crepe respectively with accessories to match and each carried bouquets of pink and yellow carnations. The flower girl was dressed in pink and she carried a basket of assorted flowers.

A wedding reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents, Berlin, Route 4, with approximately 50 in attendance. The rooms and table were decorated with pink and white paper and an entertainment was given by Prof. Albert Wolkenhauer, Mrs. Albert Wolkenhauer, Reinhold Baehr and Rev. Martin Strasen.

The young couple left on a wedding trip to Jefferson, Milwaukee, Waukesha, Michigan and upon their return they will reside at Neillsville, Wis.

Guests from out of town included Mr. and Mrs. Worchel, a brother of, Mr. and Mrs. Ewald Worchel and family, all of Neillsville. Other guests were from Weyauwega, Waupaca, Berlin, and Oshkosh.

The bride is a graduate of St. John’s Christian Day school and has lived at home since her graduation. A shower will be held at the home of the bride’s parents next Sunday eve.
