Funeral services were held Friday at the Gilbertson Funeral Home for Mrs. Amelia Crego, 76, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Forrest (Pearl) Greene, Chili, early Wednesday. Interment was made in the Yolo cemetery in the Town of Fremont.

Amelia Crego, nee Grobe, was born in Finstarbergen, Germany, May 22, 1871. When she was 12 years old she came with her parents to America. They settled on a farm in the Town of Fremont and she lived in that township for the rest of her life.

She was married to William H. Crego, also a resident of Fremont, Dec. 21, 1897. They lived on their farm one mile from Chili until the poor health of her husband compelled them to the village of Chili. Here they lived for over 10 years. She and her husband then lived with their daughter, Mrs. Forrest Greene. Mr. Crego died in 1927.

Surviving besides her daughter are one grandson, Robert Greene, Stevens Point, four sisters: Mrs. (Bertha) Blakely Palatka, Florida; Mrs. Edmond (Augusta) Allen, Reddick, Fla.; Mrs. Henry (Sarah) Hardt, Elida, New Mexico; and Mrs. D. D. (Mary) Fitch, Glendale, Calif.

Note: parents were Emil Grobe and Caroline Oshman.
