Emil C. Ott, 86, Marshfield, died Thursday at St. Joseph's Hospital. Services will be held Saturday at Grace Lutheran Church, Nasonville. Burial will be in Grace Lutheran Cemetery.

He was born Nov. 19, 1896 in Dodge County, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank (Marie Bartell) Ott. As a child he moved to the Bakerville area with his parents and attended Bakerville and Immanuel Parochial Schools. He worked on his parents farm in the Town of Lincoln until his marriage.

He and Alma Meissner were married Aug. 8, 1918 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Nasonville. He and his wife lived at Route 1, Marshfield, Town of Rock, where he farmed until 1961. Their son, Melvin, then purchased the farm, but they continued living there. He helped his son on the farm until his death.

He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, where he served many years on the church board.

Surviving are his wife, one son, Melvin, Marshfield; one daughter, Mrs. Leonard (Laverna) Boehm of Eau Claire; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Walter Ott, Marshfield; and two sisters, Mrs. Roy (Emma) Fischer, and Mrs. Arthur (Clara) Seehafer, both of Marshfield. He was predeceased by five brothers.
