Hughes, Lucille (Marriage - 10 Feb. 1934)
A very pretty wedding was solemnized at the First Baptist Church in Milwaukee Saturday, Feb. 10, at 5 p.m. by Dr. E. LeRoy Dakin, uniting in marriage Miss Lucille Hughes, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jonathan Hughes of Cambria, and Guy S. Warden, son of Mrs. Martha Warden of Eidsvold.
Miss Marian Hughes, sister of the bride, presided at the pipe organ, playing the Bridal Chorus from Lohengrin.
The bride wore a powder blue gown with bandeau to match and carried a bouquet of talisman roses and lilies of the valley. She was attended by Marjorie Holman, sister of the groom and wore a gown of ashes of roses and carried a bouquet of Hoover roses and freesias.
The groom was attended by Marlin Miller of Fond du Lac.
The bride is a graduate of the Cambria high school and the Columbia Hospital School for Nursing at Milwaukee.
The groom is the graduate of the Stanley high school and is employed at the A. O. Smith Corporation, Milwaukee.
The wedding dinner was served at the White Manor at 6:30 to the following guests: Mr. and Mrs. Jonathan Hughes, Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Abendroth of Cambria, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Hughes of Hartford, Mr. Martha Warden, Mrs. Oscar Isenberger, Misses Stella Jane, Olive and Theresa Warden of Stanley, Mr. and Mrs. Marlin Miller of Fond du Lac, Miss Marian Hughes and Marjorie Holman of Milwaukee. They will be at home after Feb. 20 at 1512 N. Warren Ave.
