Stutte, Clara C. (Marriage - *21 May 1934)

Ben A. Clouse, Loyal, brother of Miss Eva Clouse of this city and son of Mrs. Amelia Clouse, Loyal, was married Monday at 9 a.m. at Wausau to Miss Clara C. Stutte, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Stutte, who live eight miles north of Loyal.

The bride has been employed for a number of years as stenographer for the Wisconsin Valley Electric Company at Wausau where she has made a splendid record for her competency and efficiency. She is a young woman of high ideals and enjoys the warm friendship of a wide circle of acquaintances and fellow workers. She is a graduate of the Loyal High school.

Mr. Clouse has devoted his entire life to farming at which he has shown a mark aptitude and industry. He is a young man of splendid character and highly spoken of by all who know him.

After the wedding ceremony at the Catholic parsonage a reception was held for the immediate relatives at the Business Women’s Club at Wausau. Miss Laura Stutte, sister of the bride was maid of honor and Frank Clouse, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. The bride was attired in an attractive gown of blue with blue hat and carried Johnathan roses and lilies of the Valley. The maid of honor wore a rose colored gown with accessories to match and carried a bouquet of snapdragons.

After the ceremony the couple left on a 10 days wedding trip to Ephraim Sturgeon Bay and the World’s Fair at Chicago. They will make their home on the Clouse farm.

Those who attended the wedding from this locality were the Misses Eva and Gertrude Clouse, Mrs. Amelia Clouse, Mr. and Mrs. Stutte, Miss Hilda Stutte, Hugo Stutte and Alex Loos.
