TRIPLE ANNIVERSARY

A usual celebration of wedding anniversaries was held Saturday, Oct. 6, at the cottage of Mr. and Mrs. Herb. L. Brown on Lake Arbutus. The day was the twenty-first anniversary of their marriage, also the twenty-seventh anniversary of the marriage of Mr. and Mrs. Forest Brown of Minneapolis, the two men being brothers; also the fifty-fourth anniversary of the marriage of their uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Buss of the town of Grant.

There by the waters of the lake on the beautiful October day the three couples celebrated their wedding anniversaries in a quiet family reunion.

The elder couple, Mr. and Mrs. Buss is among the very oldest settlers surviving in the town of Grant. Both have resided in the town more than seventy years, and during all their married life have lived on the same farm which is now their home. During all these years they have carried on work of the farm being enthusiastic farmers and poultry raisers, and still getting much pleasure out of rural life.

Mr. and Mrs. Forest Brown have lived at Minneapolis about nineteen years. Mr. Brown started in his railroad career in Neillsville as night man at the depot and has risen by successive stages to be General Passenger Agent for the Omaha line at Minneapolis. For a number of years he was stationed at Kansas City. Mrs. Brown also was a former resident here, before her marriage, her name being Miss Marie Raymond.

Mr. and Mrs. Herb Brown have spent all of their married life in Neillsville, where Mr. Brown was for many years City Clerk. Both have a wide acquaintance in and around this city.
