Rizner, Bessie (Marriage - 3 Nov. 1934)

Miss Bessie Rizner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Rizner of the town of Washburn was married Nov. 3, at 8 p.m. to Arthur Meier, son of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Meier of the town of Levis, Rev. William Bauman officiating in the double ring ceremony, held at the parsonage of St. John’s Lutheran Church.

The maid of honor was Mrs. William Meier, Levis, sister-in-law of the groom and his brother, was best man. Miss Grace Bauman acted as ring bearer.

The bride was attractively attired in a blue crepe dress and the bridesmaid wore a pretty costume of rust crepe. A very fine wedding dinner was served to 35 guests at the home of the bride’s parents.

Mr. and Mrs. Meier will make their home at the Rush Hake farm where Mr. Meier is employed. Both Mr. and his bride are well and favorably known in the community and have a wide circle of friends who will join in extending congratulations and wishes for a long and happy life together.
