Padrutt, Lorraine G. (27 March 1920 - 19 Dec. 2003)

MADISON _Lorraine G. Padrutt, age 83, passed away at home on Friday, Dec.19, 2003.

She was born on March 27, 1920, in rural Thorp, the daughter of Edward and Ora May (Graham) Hickox.

The family moved to Stanley in 1928 and Lorraine remained there until her marriage in 1941. She married Arthur L. Padrutt of Chippewa Falls, who also began his political career in 1941, serving four terms as a state Assemblyman and another eight years as a state Senator. She was a loving wife, mother and homemaker, always ready to listen, laugh, and comfort with homemade treats and coffee.

She is survived by: her five children, John, (Delores), Jacqueline (James) Hollfelder, Jean (Brian) Lepro, Joseph ( Diane), and Julie ( Steve) Plath; a brother Arlie (Evelyn) Hickox; nine grandchildren, Lisa (Mike) Ruetten, Jamey (Barb Liste) and Scott Hollfelder, Drew and David ( Diane) Padrutt, Calvin, Noah and Susie Lepro, and Eric Padrutt; and two great-grandchildren, Rhea Kitzerow and the newest addition, Otto Edward Ruetten born Dec.16, 2003.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday Dec. 23, 2003 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 401 S. Owen Drive, Madison, with Father Brian Wilk officiating. Friends May call from 10 a.m. until the time of service.

Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Memorials May be made to Hospice Care, Inc.
