Sadow, Joseph R. (6 Feb. 1911 - 1 April 2004) Joseph R. Sadow of Tacoma, Washington, passed away April 1, 2004 at the age of 93. Joe was born February 6, 1911 in Thorp, Wisconsin.

The middle child, with 9 brothers and sisters, Joe left home at the age of 13 to embark on a life filled with travel and adventure. Throughout his life, his travels took him around the world. His adventures included obtaining his pilot's license and flying and maintaining his own planes, a log rolling championship in 1940, a military career with the U.S. Navy, including active service during WWII, and raising two children. He was a pretty good golfer, a darn good dancer and a master of the harmonica.

Joe is survived by his brothers and sisters, George, Charlie, Frank, May and Joan, from Northern California; by his two sons, Steve Sadow from Silverdale, Bruce Sadow and his wife Joleen from Kirkland; his "daughter" Lisa Tilzey from Reno; and his long time lady friend, Edna Roshau. He will be truly missed.

No memorial service is planned at Joe’s request.
