Agnes Bruski was my husband's grandmother. My husband's dad was just 2 when his mother died. My husband and I are planning a road trip to Wisconsin soon to look at the area where his grandparents lived in the early 1900's. We would have only looked around Neillsville as that was the only town mentioned by family. I already have an obit from the Owatonna paper regarding my husband's grandmother's death. (she was 7 months pregnant at her death) but this one give us some info we did not have before, namely that the town nearest them at her death was Washburn. We also didn't know that they had lived in that area for 10 years. Very helpful to have found this my first couple minutes on your website! Thanks. Mary Ellen Bruski Robbinsdale, MN

Hi, I saw on MNGS site
that you are researching McDermott's from Sligo in Ireland. I am
currently researching my late uncle who lived and died in
Minnesota, John McDermott, who was married to a Shirley Mae Potter.
I know they had no children, but are you possibly a relation on
Shirley Mae Potter's side? I have traced my uncle's ancestors back
a couple of generations so far in Ireland. I would love to hear
from you if we have someone in common. I have already found through
the internet, my uncle John McDermott's Uncle on his father's side
- he eneded up in Newark and I have been in touch with his
daughhter(a lady also called Mary coincidentally!!
