Died, on Tuesday, Nov. 1st, 1887, at her home in Unity, Wis., of peritonitis and inflammation of the bowels, Mrs. Susan R. wife of J. C. Bowden, in the thirty-sixth year of her age.
Mrs. Bowden was born at Cooksville, Wis., Aug. 14, 1852. She was married to Mr. James C. Bowden, June 24th, 1876, and moved to Unity in March 1881, at which place the deceased has since resided. Her remains were taken to Black River Falls for interment, to be placed by the side of her mother and sister Julia. She leaves two children, Claudy six, Clyde Eleven years, and a loving husband to mourn the sad loss. The news of her untimely death caused a shadow of sorrow to creep o’er the countenances of her many friends in this locality. Kind, amiable and generous to all, she became beloved by all who knew her. Merry, ambitious and patriotic, a leader of our social circles, where she will be sadly missed by her many acquaintances. The bereaved relatives have the heartfelt sympathy of the whole community.
