Witt, Elaine (Marriage - 4 June ?)

Miss Elaine Witt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Witt, Abbotsford, became the bride of Milford C. Frome, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Frome, Colby, in a ceremony Friday, June 4, at Zion Lutheran Church, Colby. The Rev. Otto Hoffmann officiated.

Attendants were the bride’s sister, Miss Joann Witt, junior bridesmaid, Mrs. C. A. Cobb, St. Paul, Minn., maid of honor; Arnold Strathman, best man; Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Witt, brother and sister-in-law of the bride, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Allmann, Libertyville, Ill.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an entrained gown of white marquisette over satin, fashioned with a square yoke edged with double ruffles, fitted bodice and long sleeves. A double fish tail peplum accented the waistline. An organdy and illusion bonnet held in place her silk illusion, finger-tip veil. Her bouquet consisted of lilies, Joanna Hill roses and lilies of the valley.

All the attendants wore identical marquisette gowns similarly styled with matching hats and mitts. Mrs. Cobb was in green, Mrs. Witt in yellow, Mrs. Allmann in orchid and Miss Witt in white. Each carried a colonial bouquet of pink roses and white gladioli.

A supper and reception following at the home of the bride’s parents, with only immediate relatives and friends in attendance.

After June 15, the young couple will be at home in Colby, where the groom is employed at the Kriplean Brothers Garage.

People from out of town who attended the wedding included Mr. and Mrs. Casper Cobb, St. Paul, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Allmann, Libertyville, Ill.; Mrs. Edward Pacholke, Mrs. Ella Murray and daughter, Marjorie, Eau Claire; Mr. and Mrs. Joseph ** Rest of article if cut off. **
