Lange, Viola (2 Oct. 1901 - 6 Oct. 1976)

Owen - Mrs. Julius (Viola) Lange, Route 1, Holcombe, formerly of Owen, died at 11:45 p.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Chippewa Falls. She was 75.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, South Green Grove, with the Rev. Roland Rakow, pastor officiating. Burial will be in the North Green Grove Cemetery.

Friends many call after 4 p.m. Friday at the Kraut-Maurina Funeral Home in Owen.

The former Viola Wittlinger was born Oct. 2, 1901, at Dale. She was married to Julius Lange on March 12, 1919, at Neillsville. She attended the Town of Beaver Schools.

The couple farmed in the Town of Green Grove until 1962, when they moved to Holcombe.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Julius Jr., Abbotsford, and Duane, Madison; a daughter, Mrs. Lawrence (Irene) Larson, Atlanta, Ga.; eight grandchildren, and five sisters, Mrs. Lena Bauer, Wisconsin Rapids, and Mrs. Esther Ayer, Unity, Mrs. Nada Miller, Milwaukee, Mrs. Otto (Gertrude) Becker, Owen, and Mrs. Milton (Lula) Songstad, Deronda.

Preceding her in death were two brothers and a sister.
