Schuette, Lilly (1 Sept. 1900 - 13 Nov. 1985)

UNITY, WIS. - Mrs. Walter (Lilly) Schuette, 85, Route 1, Unity, Wisconsin, died at 5:50 p.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph’s Hospital Hospice Care Unity, where she was admitted Oct. 29.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Unity. The Rev. Roland Rakow will officiate. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Burial will be in South Green Grove Cemetery.

Visitiation will be after 4 p.m. Friday at Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal, and after 10 a.m. Saturday at the church until time of service.

The former Lilly Reack was born Sept. 1, 1900 in the Town of Beaver, to Frederick and Minnie (Dryer) Reack. She attended Green Grove School.

She was married to Walter Schuette Dec. 22, 1920 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church. They farmed in the Town of Beaver all their lives. Her husband died July 30, 1962, but she continued to reside on the farm.

She was a member of the St. Luke’s Lutheran Church.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Carl (Elepha) Zarnstorff, Owen, Mrs. Franklin (Blanche) Zimmerman, Neillsville; Mrs. Donald (Dorothy) Smith, Loyal, and Mrs. Jerry (Constance) Uhlig, Sturtevant; two sons, Delbert and Eldred, both of Unity; one sister, Mrs. Leon Ruzek, Manitowoc; 29 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was predeceased by one son Carl, in 1936, and one daughter, Irene Olson, in 1967, three brothers and four sisters.
