Lucille E. Talcott, 86, Colby, Wisconsin, died Monday, July 25, 2005, at Angelus Retirement Center, Colby. Funeral services were held at 12 p.m., Friday, July 29, at First United Church of Christ, Colby. Burial was in Colby Memorial Cemetery. The Rev. Kenneth A. Dix officiated.

Lucille E. Sorenson was born June 14, 1919, in the town of Spencer to John and Ruth (nee Miller) Sorenson. She attended Unity Public Schools and UW-Stevens Point. She married Arvid Talcott on Dec. 27, 1941. He preceded her in death. They farmed from 1941-1965. She taught in rural schools and also Loyal and Spencer elementary schools. She enjoyed traveling, sewing, crafts, music, painting and playing cards. She was a member of First United Church of Christ, Women’s Guild, Retired Teachers Association, Royal Neighbors of America, HCE, Abbotsford Library Club, and Rural Arts Historical Society.

Survivors include her sons, Darrel (Dixie) Talcott, West Salem, and Warren (Darlene) Talcott, Spencer; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
