Obit: Gaffney, Jane (May 21, 1939 - )

NEILLSVILLE - Jane (Toni) Gaffney 24, of 1407 Hewett St. died at 12:12 p.m. Sunday at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Owen.

The Rev. Joseph Henseler, pastor of St. Mary’s Church, Neillsville, will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Withee.

Visitation will be after 4 p.m. today at Maurina Funeral Home, Owen.

She was born May 21, 1939 in Marshfield to Richard and Alive (McKee) Gaffney. She graduated from Owen-Withee High School in 1960. She moved to Neillsville in 1965, where her father served as judge in Clark County. She had been employed as a tax consultant for H & R Block. She also sold wedding supplies and for the past years has served as a legal guardian for a number of people in Clark County.

She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Neillsville.

Survivors include three sisters, Janet Thomas, Stoughton, Kathleen Gaffney, Richfield, Minn., and Colleen Johnson Neillsville; and three brothers, Richard Gaffney, Wisconsin Rapids, Patrick Gaffney, Willard, and Timothy Gaffney, Minneapolis.

She was predeceased by her parents and one sister, Susan Johnson, who died in 1980.
