Hemmy, F. G. (23 DEC 1814 - 11 Mar 1894)

Died, at the home of Henry Meyers in Green Grove, Clark Co., Wis., on Sunday, March 11th, 1894, of general debility, in the 80th year of his age.

Deceased was born in Echtershagen, Saxon Gotha, Germany, Dec. 23rd, 1814. He became a resident of this state some time previous to the rebellion. On the 16th day of Sept. 1861, he enlisted from Sheboygan, in Co. E, 9th Regiment, Wis. Vol. Inf., and was honorably discharge from service on the 3rd day of Dec. 1864, having served a few days over three years and two months.

He has been a resident of the town of Green Grove about 8 years, excepting a short time that he was in the eastern part of the state. He leaves to mourn his death, a wife, a stepson, F. Plutte, and a step-daughter, Mrs. Henry Meyers.

The funeral occurred at the residence of Henry Meyers, on Tuesday, March 13th, and the remains were interred in the Lutheran Cemetery at Green Grove, Rev. Joseph R. Fiehler officiating.
