Wing, Andrew (4 DEC 1832 - 28 Dec 1915)

Mr. Andrew Wing passed away on the morning of Dec. 28, 1915 in the hospital at the Wis. Veterans Home at Waupaca. He was born in New Lisbon, Otsego Co., N.Y. on the 4th of Dec. 1832, where he lived during the early part of his life. Later he located in New Chester, Adams Co., Wis. He was married to Amanda Hartson on Nov. 5, 1856. To them were born six children: Martin Wing of Neillsville, Mrs. Clara Winchester, who passed away Sept. 15, 1909, Mrs. George Bell of Oxford, Mrs. Chas. Page of Endeavor, Mrs. Jas. Wedding of Neillsville, and Mrs. Henry Nelson of Oxford.

He served in the Civil War in Co. G. 19th and Co. D 38th Wis. Volunteer Infantry. His wife died March 28, 1878. Later he married Mrs. Mary Forbush. To them was born one daughter, Mrs. Laura Moffat of Hewettville. He moved to Clark County in the spring of 1879 and located in the town of West Weston, and lived there until the fall of 1903. His health being poor, he went to the Veterans Home to live at the Maston Hall. He was well though of by his comrades and by all that knew him.

Besides his wife and children he leaves several grandchildren and great-grandchildren to mourn his departure.
