John French was born 31 Dec 1792 in Reading, Windsor, Vermont, the son of Jonathan French and Huldah Dwinnel French. David and Benjamin Franklin French were is brothers. He married Nancy Kennedy French. They became the parents of Mary Ann (French) Sturdevant, Fanny (French) Brooks, Joseph Kennedy French, James French, Ann French Johnson (1825-1898); George Washington French, Benjamin Franklin French and Robert B French.
