Meddaugh, Sarah (25 DEC 1872 - 6 SEP 1917)

Sarah Short was born on Dec. 25, 1872 in the town of Sherwood, Clark County, Wis. When quite a young girl she united with the Shortville Presbyterian Church. On Sept. 19, 1897 she was joined in marriage to William Meddaugh.

Mrs. Meddaugh had been in poor health for some time and was finally taken to the hospital at Marshfield, where she died on Thursday, Sept. 6, 1917.

She is survived by her husband and eight children: George, Neil, Alvick, Lee, Ray, Fay, Alice and Robert; also one sister, Mrs. Geo. Bue.

The family lived in Shortville for a good many years, but for the past four years had lived in Dorchester.

Mrs. Meddaugh was a noble character, a fine mother and was loved by a host of friends.

The funeral service was held Monday morning at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bue, Rev. S. B. Pinney officiating. Burial took place in the Neillsville Cemetery.
