Susan M. Mannigel, 62, of Neillsville, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2022, at Marshfield Medical Center, after a short battle with cancer.

Born Susan Marie Fischer on July 21,1959, to Jun Altmann and Joseph Hoffman in Marshfield, Wisconsin. She spent her childhood and teenage years in Marshfield, graduating from Marshfield Senior High in 1977.

Susan was united in marriage to Russell J. Mannigel on August 24, 1980, in Marshfield. Together they welcomed three children, Sarah Mannigel of Greenwood, WI, Steven Mannigel of Marshfield, and Christopher Mannigel of Granton. Sue and Russ later divorced.

Sue worked for Rice Rust Pharmacy, as well as Berg Equipment, before starting her career with Weinbrenner Shoe Company on August 31, 1992. She was a longstanding and dedicated employee with Weinbrenner up until her illness.

She spent the past 26 years sharing her life with her beloved Peter Langreck. Together they enjoyed camping, four wheeling, having cookouts, and being with family and friends. Sue also loved houseplants and her flower gardens.

Sue is lovingly survived by Peter Langreck and her former husband Russell Mannigel. Her children: Sarah Mannigel (Glen Rucker), Steven Mannigel (Britain Haley), Christopher (Becky) Mannigel, Seth (Piper) Langreck, and Leah (Taylor) Johnson. Grandchildren: Kayla Klahn, Jasmine Klahn, Keirstyn Mannigel, Dimitri Mannigel, Onyx Mannigel, Drake White-Bergey, Torin White-Bergey and Brynn Johnson. Great grandchildren: Jameson Brody and Kade Brody. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, as well as her older brother Larry.

Sue wanted all of her Weinbrenner family to know how much she loved all of you. Sue also loved all of her extended families, the Altmanns, Hoffmans, Drexlers, and Lloyds. A memorial service will be held on Friday February 18, 2022, at Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home, Marshfield, WI with visitation from 4 p.m.-6 p.m., followed by a small service starting at 6 p.m.
