She was married to Christian Kaufmann in 1865. In May 1883 she, with her husband, mother and children, came to this country and settled on a farm in the town of Grant, Clark County, Wis., where she lived until about six years ago, when she moved to Neillsville with her son where she resided until death called her away. She leaves to mourn her loss one son, Frank, of Neillsville and three daughters, Alvina, Mrs. August Worchel of Globe, Minnie, Mrs. Charles Buddinger of York and Olga, Mrs. Willard Hall of Jim Falls. All with the exception of Mrs. Hall were at her bedside when the death angel came.
