Barth, Robert M. (8 Dec 1923 - 7 Feb 2003)

Robert M. Barth, 79, Neillsville, Clark County, Wis., died on Friday, Feb. 7, 2003, at the Memorial Medical Center Nursing Home, Neillsville. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Burial will be in the Lynn Cemetery, Granton.

Robert M. Barth was born on Dec. 8, 1923, in the town of Fremont, to John and Hilda (nee Quicker) Barth. He attended Forrestside Grade School, Chili. He married Evelyn Mae Curtain. They later divorced. He then married Jean Nickel. They later divorced. He worked as a farmer, trucker and lumberyard employee until retiring in 1999. His interests included hunting, fishing, gardening and playing accordion.

Survivors include seven children, Robert (Kathleen) Barth, Neillsville, Georgianna (John) Michalski, Greenfield, William (Barb) Barth, Chili, Randy (Ann) Barth, Chili, Lori (Dave) Krueger, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Mark (Candy) Barth, Neillsville, and Janel (Jim) Thur, Neillsville; 19 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Raymond (Shirley) Barth, Granton, and James (Margie) Barth, Chili; and one sister, Norma (Harold) Vandenbergen, Berlin.

Preceding him in death were his parents; three grandsons, Jeffrey Barth, Christopher Barth and Douglas Barth; and a brother, in infancy.

The Cremation Society of Wisconsin assisted the family with arrangements.
