A telegram was received here on Saturday last announcing the death of Edward Schultze, at Hope, N. D. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Schultze of the town of Worden, Clark County, Wis. Edward Schultze was born at Hamburg, Germany, on Feb. 13, 1881, and came here the following year with his parents, who have the sympathy of all in their sudden bereavement. The remains arrived here on Monday, the funeral taking place from the home of the parents on Tuesday afternoon, Rev. J. B. Bachman officiating, interment in the German Cemetery, town of Worden.

Schultze, Henry (26 Jul 1924 – 15 DEC 1967)

Henry Schultze, 43, route 2, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), was fatally injured late Friday afternoon when a ladder broke and plunged him to a concrete platform.

Only meager details of the accident were available. Authorities said the man, assisted by some neighbors, was working on some winter pipes in the barn when the accident occurred. Schultze's death is believed to have been instantaneous.

Services were held Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, with burial in the Greenwood Cemetery.

Schultze is survived by his wife, the former Eleanor Bobb of Thorp; a son, Duane, at home; a daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Diane) Faircloth, Milwaukee; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Max Schultze, Stanley, three brothers, one sister and a number of half-brothers and sisters.

GREENWOOD, CLARK COUNTY Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church here for Henry Schultze, 43, route 2, Greenwood, who was fatally injured in a fall Friday afternoon, Dec. 15, 1967, when a ladder broke while he was working on some water piles in the barn. The Rev. LeRoy Urman will officiate, and burial will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery.


The body will repose at the Hill Funeral Home until 11 a.m. Tuesday, and then at the church.


Mr. Schultze was born July 26, 1924, at Stanley. His marriage to Eleanor Bobb took place Jan. 19, 1946, at Dorchester.


After their marriage, the couple farmed near Thorp until 12 years ago when they moved to the present farm at Greenwood.


Mr. Schultze was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church at Greenwood.


In addition to his wife, survivors are a son, Duane, at home a daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Diane) Faircloth, Milwaukee his father, Max Schultze, Sr., Stanley three brothers, James, Stanley William Thorp and Howard, Kansas City, Kan. a sister, Mrs. Edwin (Mae) Franz, Sturgis, S.D. nine half brothers, John Schultze, Hoven, S.D. Richard, Calvin, Max Jr., and Harry Schultze, Stanley Ronald Schultze, Milwaukee Jerry Schultze, Madison and Raymond and Dale Schultze, Towner, N.D. and three half sisters, Mrs. Herman (Patricia) Mason, Milwaukee and Jean and Penny Schultze, Stanley.

Schultze, Henry (26 July 1924 - 16 December 1967)

Henry Schultze, 43, of Greenwood, died instantly at 4 p.m. Friday when he fell from a ladder while repairing water pipes in the barn on his farm, four miles southwest of Greenwood.

Funeral services were held December 19, from Trinity Lutheran Church in Greenwood. Burial took place in the Greenwood Cemetery, with the Rev. LeRoy Urman officiating.

Mr. Schultze was born July 26, 1924, in Stanley, the son of Max and Elenore (Beller) Schultze. He was married to Eleanor Bobb January 19, 1946, at Dorchester. They farmed near Thorp until 12 years ago, when they moved onto their present farm home near Greenwood.

He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church.

Survivors include: his wife; a son, Duane, at home; a daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Diane) Faircloth of Milwaukee; three brothers, James of Stanley, William of Thorp, and Howard of Kansas City, Kans.; a sister, Mrs. Edwin (Mare) Franz of Sturgis, S. D.; his father, Max Schultze, Sr., of Stanley; nine half-brothers, John Schultze of Hoven, S. D., Richard Schultze of Stanley, Raymond and Dale Schultze of Towner, N. D., Jerry Schultze of Madison, Ronald Schultze of Milwaukee, and Calvin, harry and Max, Jr. Schultze, all of Stanley. Also surviving are three half-sisters, Mrs. Herman (Patricia) Mason of Milwaukee, and Jean and Penny Schultze of Stanley.

Funeral services for Henry Schultze, 43, were held December 19, from Trinity Lutheran Church in Greenwood. The Rev. Leroy Urman officiated. Burial was made in the Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were George Fitzl, Peter Korntved, William Brzezinski, Jr., Edmund Alger, Howard Susa and Jake Barr. Mrs. Theodore Klabon of Withee sang, “Abide with me” and “Nearer My God to Thee,” accompanied on the organ by Miss Bonnie Lenz of Greenwood.

Schultz, Henry (11 MAY 1851 - 26 NOV 1916)

 

Sunday evening, Nov. 26, 1916, marked the passing of Henry Schultze into the great beyond. Mr. Schultze was among the earliest settlers in what is now the town of Worden, Clark County, Wis. and was much respected as a friend and neighbor. His death was caused by heart failure and occurred within an hour of a sudden attack at about nine o'clock Sunday evening at his home. Mr. Schultze was born in Schleswig, Holstein, Germany, on May 11, 1851, where he grew to manhood, acquiring an excellent education during his boyhood days. In 1880 he was united in marriage with Miss Frances Hinsch, at Hamburg, Germany, and in 1882 they came to this country and directly to Thorp, and located in the woods, now their present farm. Here Mr. Schultze carved out a home, and surround by his family, enjoyed the blessings of a comfortable home for many years. Since the organization of the town of Worden twenty-two years age, he has filled the office of town clerk in a most acceptable and honorable manner. He leaves to mourn, his wife and nine children, Hans, Mrs. Arthur Johnson of Stanley, Frank, Theodore, Mrs. Helmuth Dueysen of Stanley, Robert, Max, Martin and Daniel. The funeral took place yesterday afternoon, Rev. Schwertferger of Withee, officiating, interment following in the German Cemetery in the town of Worden.
